Ads are featured on this website for one reason and one reason only. To raise money. As this is a non-profit group, we do not keep any of this money for ourselves but instead will invest it to further research of this genus.

Who are we?

The GSG is a group of aquarist that are dedicated to the research, and conservation of cichlids of the Gymnogeophagus genus. Due to a severe lack of information available on this genus, it is difficult for even more experienced hobbyists to find the necessary information for success in their captive care. The GSG is at work trying to bring together any and all known information on this genus and support the further development of this genus through descriptions and other scientific papers.
